Plato 170SD is the static dissipative version of the 170 cutter. Plato shear-cutting tools have ground blade edges that "by-pass" requiring 50% less effort than a standard pair of cutters. By-pass cutting action means less pressure on the component, precision cuts with less effort and longer tool life. The non-glare, black finish and non-slip cushioned grips make this a comfortable tool even under prolonged use. Flush cuts component leads up to 18 AWG (1.0mm). Slim profile of the tool makes it easy to access component leads in difficult-to-reach areas. Black conductive grips meet mil specs DOD-STD-1686 and MIL-B-81705, Type 2. 170SD
